Our commitment to making ddevtools usable by everyone.

Our Commitment

We believe developer tools should be accessible to everyone, regardless of ability. We strive to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards and continuously work to improve the accessibility of our tools.

Accessibility Features

Keyboard Navigation

All tools and interactive elements can be accessed using only a keyboard. Use Tab to navigate, Enter to activate, and Escape to close dialogs.

Screen Reader Support

We use semantic HTML, ARIA labels, and proper heading hierarchy to ensure screen readers can accurately convey page content and structure.

Color Contrast

Text and interactive elements meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast requirements. Our dark theme is designed for readability and reduced eye strain.

Focus Indicators

Clear, visible focus indicators show which element is currently selected, making keyboard navigation intuitive and easy to follow.

Skip Links

A 'Skip to main content' link appears on focus, allowing keyboard users to bypass navigation and jump directly to the main content.

Responsive Design

All tools work across devices and screen sizes. Content reflows properly when zoomed up to 200% without loss of functionality.

Standards We Follow

We design and develop with these guidelines in mind:

  • WCAG 2.1 Level AA - Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
  • WAI-ARIA 1.2 - Accessible Rich Internet Applications
  • Semantic HTML5 - Proper document structure

Known Issues

We're aware of and actively working on:

  • Some complex tools may have focus management that could be improved
  • Code editors may have limited screen reader support due to third-party libraries

We're committed to addressing these issues in future updates.
